PCOS presents with the symptoms of androgen excess, menstrual dysfunction, hirsutism, acne, and obesity, which significantly impacts their quality of life. It not only a reproductive problem but also as a severe metabolic disease that carries crucial health risks as age increases. PCOS has an increased risk of multiple morbidities, including insulin resistance, type II diabetes mellitus, obesity, cardiovascular disease, cancer, infertility, and psychological disorders. This review summarizes that the literature has so far provided from guidelines to diagnosis of PCOS and also this review gives a general overview about the morbidities associated with PCOS, specifically with its more severe classic form. Finally, the review will stress on the various aspects of treatment currently used in the management of this condition. ER -
